Advising - First Time Students - FAQ

  1. I´ve been accepted to EKU, am I automatically in the program I chose?
No. If your CARES report reads "pre" before your major then you must be accepted into the major program. Each program accepts applicant´s differently so check with the program of choice for verification.
  2. I´m interested in radiography, ultrasound technician, respiratory care, or medical assisting. Does EKU offer any of these programs?
No. Currently these programs can be found in community colleges and technical schools.
  3. What is a pre-professional program?
A pre-professional program is one that you can begin at EKU by completing the general education curriculum, supporting courses and the basic prerequisite courses (and/or completing a degree) before going to a graduate program or professional school.
  4. I´m interested in a pre-professional program (i.e. medicine, physical therapy, etc.). Does EKU have these?
